I love choosing words - words that feel "just right." I hope my writing is a source of comfort like most well-written things. I've written about the experience of drawing faces, understanding Andalucia through architecture and analyzing The Dark Knight Rises using drawing techniques. I've also written for YouTube.

Nolan's use of Perspective in Dark Knight Rises

I unpacked a Nolan masterpiece using the 15th century techniques of perspective drawing. Christopher Nolan is known for using a wide frame for his films. This allows him to have an expansive horizon - something he takes full advantage of in the final installment of the Dark Knight Trilogy. Framing of key moments in the movie relies on perspective techniques to guide our eyes to the right (or wrong) places. (15 min read)
